|Recommended: YesGreat location, apartment layout utilizes space well, has an open feel. — The application process was quick and easy, the office staff is very friendly and really cares about trying to accommodate you. I love that the apartments are all ground level and spaced with the patio area providing more privacy between and across from each other. The heating and cooling units work very well, I can set the heat low and stay very comfortable. Everything I need or want is close by, the location is excellent.

|Recommended: YesPerfectly located. Very quiet. Neighbors are nice and privacy is respected. The primary factors that make this not a 5-star review is age and maintenance. The maintenance guy is an awesome person, but he is over-worked and given either no staff or sub-standard staff to assist him. As a result, the maintenance is awful - both response time and general quality of work. The complex is older and worn and close observation shows that. Sagging soffits, rotted wood, uneven floors and doors, etc. Projects are not thought through and there also seems to be a lack of quality materials given to the staff, so a lot of the repairs are “MacGyvered.” Other than that, it’s a good place to live.

We aware of the concerns at hand and have been working very hard to remedy all of them as we've brought additional help in for the interim to allow us to continue getting work done while taking the time to find the right "forever team" for the property. Resident and Employee Satisfaction are our top priorities. We value the hard work of the dedicated maintenance members we have and are committed to finding them complimenting team members.

|Recommended: NoOverall the property is fair. The leasing customer service needs improvement. — So far it has been fair. If someone asked about my experience moving in and living here in the community it would okay. The leasing staff was nice until after I moved in and the attitudes seem to change. Also, I was told my apartment would be ready by July 24, 2020 at 1pm and it was not. I would have preferred to be called and asked to come at a later day rather than move in and things still need to be worked on. And lastly, I was told one price for my security deposit and was told a higher price at the day of move in and I was not notified until the day before I was scheduled to move in about the extra Monday for the security deposit. The customer service needs improvement but overall I am pleased with the area and my apartment so far.
Melody, please accept our apologies for your negative move-in experience. That is not the standard of service that we strive for. In the midst of some turnover with our staff, we are sincerely sorry for all miscommunication that occurred as a result. We would like to assure you that your initial experience will not be a continuation in the future and that we are committed to bettering your experience living here at Oakbrook Apartments.
|Recommended: YesI found a new home — The apartment has a great floor-plan with plenty of storage in closets and attic. My unit is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac with plenty of parking. The maintenance staff quickly resolved the very small punch list I had on move-in day.
